Often seen as a no-brainer for safety it’s no wonder cruise control and assisted driving controls are becoming more common in newer, high-end vehicles. With a cruise control system in the car or van the driver is able to rest their feet with the vehicle taking over the speed management allowing you to focus on the driving, and that’s not the only benefit!
With motor traffic increasing year-on-year (recorded 325.5 billion vehicle miles in 2017) it’s no wonder people are starting to look for ways to make their journeys easier. With long journeys motorways can be tiresome, but with frequent traffic jams, roadworks and variable speed limits your legs may be tired before you even get to work. In 2017 record motorway traffic levels had been recorded with 68.2 billion vehicle miles and alleviating some of that work to the cruise control system is a godsend for many.
However, what can be done if you don’t have a cruise control system pre-installed in your car? Aftermarket cruise control systems can be a great addition to your car giving you the ability to enjoy assisted driving on any car. Using the cruise control systems we have available, they can be operated using a dashboard mounted control, steering wheel mounted control, or the more traditional steering column stalk control, and best of all they are compatible with nearly all vehicles on the market that have electrically operated accelerators (drive by wire). The AP-900C is actually one of the easiest to install as it only requires connections to the CAN Bus and ignition systems making it one of the most popular DIY cruise control systems available.

Typically known for their wide range of cars and commercial vehicles, Ford are the fifth-largest automaker in the world and the UKs biggest-selling vehicle brand for over 30 consecutive years. Skoda Aftermarket Cruise Control Kits
Based in the Czech Republic, Skoda was originally founded in 1895 but in 2000 it became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Volkswagen. Despite not being as widely known other brands such as Ford in Western Europe and the US, Skoda is one of the five longest-standing car companies in the world. They produce a diverse range of models including superminis such as the Fabia, family sized cars which include the Octavia and Rapid plus the luxury Praktik and Superb. Kia Retrofit Cruise Control
Kia is a Korean company that despite being traditionally one of the smaller manufacturers, now has largest car assembly factory in the world and a presence on nearly every continent. After being taken over by Hyundai in 1999, Kia have gone from strength to strength and have now notched up 500 different recognition awards in a variety of countries. Many of their models are named after geographical locations or objects such as the Sorento, Mohave and Cerato. Suzuki Cruise Control Kits

Jeep Cruise Control Kit
The original Jeep was designed out of necessity in just two days and incorporated elements from other car manufacturers, including Ford. Over the years it has become synonymous with a robust and tough design, a vehicle just as at home on tough terrain as on the road. The Jeep CJ is one of their most iconic models, and this was renamed as the Wrangler (TJ) by 1987. Subaru Retrofit Cruise Control
Founded in 1953, Subaru has acquired a reputation for producing supercharged cars. Its parent company has financial ties with Toyota and the two car manufacturers have joined forces on several projects, with more planned for the future. Some of the most well-known designs for Subaru have included the Exiga, BRZ and of course the renowned Subaru Impreza.
